Living Completely Image

Living Completely Sermon Series
James, or Jacob as he is known in the ancient manuscripts, was the half-brother of Jesus and though he grew up with Jesus, Jacob did not believe that Jesus was the messiah until after the crucifixion and the resurrection when the Lord appeared to Jacob personally. That event changed everything about Jacob’s life and he began to pursue following Jesus with passion and wisdom. The letter known as James is a collection of that wisdom. It blends Jesus’ teaching in Matthew 5-7 about the Kingdom of Heaven and the instructions toward righteous living found in Proverbs 1 through 9 with the sage and pointed insight of a practical leader who knows what it means to follow Jesus in a world full of trial. Every follower of Jesus regardless of their personal circumstances will benefit from what Jacob has to say.
