    Mission News & Opportunities

Royal Family KIDS Camp Volunteer Recruitment
Royal Family KIDS Anchorage camp will host 72 children who have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. This is an opportunity to serve on a one-week mission trip to Anchorage beginning June 14 at 6PM until June 21 at 9PM. Join others from Faith, our community, and our country as we change the trajectory of the lives of children ages 6-12 years. Download an application or contact Chris Scott for more information.

Summer 2013 Partnerships with Arctic Barnabas Ministries
Arctic Baranabas has a deep love for the Native peoples of Alaska. They are committed to help advance the Gospel of Jesus Christ to these groups as there are 225 remote villages in Alaska and less than 100 have an established evangelical church, pastor, or missionary presence. Many have no followers of Jesus Christ. Missionary families are often unprepared, under-supported, and overwhelmed by the spiritual and physical challenges present in the remote villages. Men find themselves working 8-10 hour days on physical labor to keep up with maintenance, heating, subsistence, and basic survival needs. Women and children sometimes feel isolated and long for fellowship with peers who understand. Yes, it is very tough out there! Burnout knocks at the door.

Can you help alleviate some of the burden this summer?

Bringing Aid to the Poorest of the Poor
The Poor Box Mercy Team identifies individuals or families who are desperate and destitute. Contributions go to "the poorest of the poor," anywhere they are identified by faith partners. The Poor Box Mercy Team is especially interested in innocent children who suffer from their circumstances. In the case of adults, we ask even desperate people to work for their help, if they are able. Poor Box funds have provided food for widows and orphans, medical assistance, clean water, shelter, microenterprise, and more. A clean water project in Zambia, Africa is one example of Poor Box funding.
