Knit, Purl, and Pray
Tue, 6:30-8 PM (Meets 2nd Tues of Month), Room 220
by Janet Hepplewhite
Knit and purl or loop and stitch as we crochet or knit shawls for those hospitalized, shut-in, or otherwise vulnerable. Every yard of yarn will bring encouragement and a lift to the heart as prayer is woven into each shawl. This small gift may refresh the weary, sustain the sick, and lift the lonesome, knowing they are remembered and carried to the throne of grace.

Celebrate Recovery—Fridays, 6:30–8:30 PM, Auditorium (Ongoing)
We celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the 12-steps and eight recovery principles found in the Beatitudes. By working and applying these steps and principles, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our problems. Based on the words of Jesus, this recovery program is unique and extremely effective in helping people change. Contact Amy for more information. Childcare is available.

Moms & MoreThurs, Sept 7-Dec 14, 10AM–Noon, Rm 119 (former Gallery)
Moms & More is a great place to breathe in God’s grace, connect with other moms, and encourage one another as we journey through a biblical study. We welcome moms from all stages of life—from those wondering, “what do I do with this newborn?” to wonderfully wise great-grandmothers. Learn how to find contentment in whatever season you are in as a mom as we launch with a six-week study by Karen Stubbs called Mom Core.

GriefShare—Thurs, Sept 7–Dec 7, 6-8 PM, Rm 128 (Connecting Place)
Walk with others through one of life’s most difficult experiences. GriefShare meets weekly to help you face the challenges and move toward rebuilding your life. Nancy Struempler and Janet Lemmons lead this group. Email us to learn more about our current session. Learn more about GriefShare. Sorry, no childcare available.

Get Acquainted Brunch—Sat, Dec 9, 10:30 AM-12:30 PM (South Anchorage)
Ladies, this event is for you. Whether you are brand new to Faith Christian Community or call Faith your “home,” we invite you to pull up a chair to connect a few names and faces, and to give us a chance to get to know you. Enjoy a casual morning with other women over a delicious brunch.

The Gathering—Thurs, Sept 21Apr, 6:30-8 PM, Rm 119
Let’s take some time to unplug and connect with God and one another. We’ll reset our hearts and minds with praise and worship, and feast on the truths of God as we enjoy an evening meal (bring your favorite potluck item to share). Whether you make it every week or when you can, every session is a stand-alone study, leaving no one behind. Invite your girlfriends, co-workers, and neighbors as we dive into the good that God has for us! It will be an insightful year as we examine the Old Testament women, who are not unlike us in their struggles and triumphs. We use the book Women of the Bible by Ann Spangler and Jean E. Syswerda. Schedule.
