If we don’t first understand that we stand guilty before a holy God whose wrath we deserve, we’ll never see the need for salvation. Still, many Christians fall into this trap, failing to see their helplessness even after they’ve trusted Christ as their Savior. The Holy Spirit lives in our hearts, convicting us of our sin and our constant need for Christ. This should lead to a life of humility and gratitude, not haughtiness and judgment."

The Gospel is the one and only hope for our world but the thought that we are all utterly depraved sinners, deserving of the wrath of God and in need of His forgiveness is about the most offensive thing you can proclaim in our secular humanist culture.

I’m a huge fan of Henry Blackaby. I still follow the wisdom in his book “Experiencing God.” If you haven’t read it, I highly recommend it. So, it’s because of the Spirit in me, the Word, and the words of brothers and sisters, that I share something with you. We need to Forgive – Reconcile – Restore.
